Comments and anecdotes about the event:
We had as many as 400 folks show up at the Science Museum Oklahoma to view the partial eclipse in OKC. Several news crews were there and we got about a minute of air time showing the public viewing the eclipse at our site and looking through our telescopes. One news station interviewed the club Observing and Outreach Coordinator for about 5 minutes. About 5 seconds of the interview made it on the air.

Partial Eclipse viewers at the Science Museum Oklahoma on 8 April 2024. The OKC Astronomy Club had several scopes set up for the public to view the eclipse through, as well as handing out Eclipse viewing glasses and safety sheets. Approximately 400 people gathered at the museum to view the eclipse.
