Apologies for the late notification concerning this event, but the Schramm Education Center is offereing a "Nature at Nightfall" event.  Schramm State Park is about five miles south of the Nebraska Crossing / Gretna exit on I-80.  The Omaha Astronomical Society will be helping out with this event (but only as a participant / helping hand).. PAC members are welcome to also lend a helping hand.

John  Johnson mentioned in his notification to the OAS that with late sunsets it will not really be dark until about 10:00pm (and the activity is actually scheduled only from 5:00pm - 10:00pm).  Still there are about 200-300 folks expected to come through, so if you want to mingle with some folks and perhaps touch base with some fellow amateur astronomers from OAS do know that PAC members are more than welcome to head out to Schramm this Friday, June 28, 2024.  Setup for the astronomy activities need not happen until the 8:30pm-8:45pm timeframe if you do want to head out.
