Come join the Rochester Astronomy Club (RAC) for an afternoon of Solar observing.  Once again the RAC will set-up telescopes for public solar viewing on Saturday, June 27th starting at 11 AM at Soldiers Field as a Rochesterfest event..  With multiple telescopes setup you should be able to see sun spots, solar details ina and above the chromosphere and possibly see bright and structurally detailed solar prominences. 

Warning: Never look directly at the Sun without proper eye protection, as it can cause permanent eye damage. This includes not looking through any unfiltered optical device like binoculars, telescopes, or cameras. Use only certified solar filters or viewers designed for direct viewing of the Sun.
