Comments and anecdotes about the event:
We had a table full of interesting information and space images. Many residents of SCOV came by and talked about astronomy with the Astronomy Club representatives. We got several new members, plus renewals from folks who had forgotten they needed to renew their membership in our Club. We let a lot of folks know that our Star Parties and Programs are free and open to all residents, not just Club Members. We even got a scientist with Tucson's Planetary Science Institute to offer to come speak to us about Venus at a future meeting! Thanks to Club volunteers who helped with our booth: Janet, Ann, Lee, and Harold helped man the booth; Sherwin and Sherry helped with exhibit items for the booth; Ed didn't know it, but his photos were on display & generated a lot of interest!
