Event

Hello! I am a teacher at Scott Elementary, serving the 760 elementary students living on Scott Air Force Base. I am also a member of the Astronomical Society of Southeast Texas, where I moved from. Our school is having a STEM Night on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 5:30-7:00pm. I wanted to see if any of your members would be willing to come set up telescopes so that students can learn about telescopes and space.  I know what an awesome resource the astronomical society can be and I would love to include you in our event so our students and their families can experience these things.  Given that sunset will be at 6:00 pm and there will be no moon in the sky, Ms. Stewart is aware that this will be a mostly indoor display, but hopefully we will be able to go out and show Saturn and possibly Jupiter by the end of the time.
Thank you!
Lisa Stewart
