Event

It's Space Time! Join us at Taylor Dock in Fairhaven, Washington, where we'll be sharing our telescopes with everyone! Our cosmic adventure begins at 4:00 P.M. as we track the Crescent Moon heading towards the western horizon. As darkness falls, we'll turn our gaze to Jupiter, counting its moons, and if Saturn graces us with its presence, we'll be there, trying not to be too distracted by those mesmerizing rings. With a bit of luck, we might even catch a glimpse of Uranus – we'll certainly give it a shot.

Tonight, our telescopes might also unveil cosmic wonders beyond our solar system. From multi-star systems to distant nebulae, star clusters, and galaxies, we'll use every tool at our disposal to make your brain melt with amazement.

Despite the brain-melting, it's essential to bundle up; it's going to be cold!

If you have a telescope, feel free to bring it along, and we'll gladly assist you with any questions.

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
We had an ex member come out and they brought a green laser to share their knowledge about constellations with everyone, which was wonderful. We also had a dedicated visitor walk over two hours to join us because they felt they always missed out on our previous shows. They ended up staying the entire length of the event and we made sure to give them a ride home. Lastly, there were lots of amazing dogs and we really need to figure out how to make telescopes for dogs!
