Move the Tree from the Observatory

Event

We have the blessing from BBNC/related to move the tree planted last fall that endangers the observatory NW views!  It's the larger tree at the end of the new walkway to the new pavillion.

We need helping hands and tools! 

  • shovels
  • diggers
  • wheel barrows
  • work gloves (your own for you)
  • tarps
  • (I have a winch on my truck)
  • buckets / jugs for watering in after replant

Please RSVP so we know we have enough help.  This tree is the same kind that's grown on the island in the observatory parking lot so it will grow tall and wide.  The roots should not have spread from the root ball just yet.

The first date, May10, is Mother's day, and the second date, May 17, is a rain date.  Meet in the observatory parking lot.

Monthly meeting and main observing site. Meetings second Wednesday of every month at 7:30 pm. Planetarium shows 7:30 and 8:30 once per month. Check website for specific dates.
