Dozens of amateur astronomers, astronomy enthusiasts, and families will gather at Camp Cullom for immersion in the hobby and camaraderie of astronomy at the 23rd Indiana Family Star Party.
This is a regional family-oriented star party sponsored by the Wabash Valley Astronomical Society, Indiana Astronomical Society, and Muncie Astronomy Club. The public is invited to attend on Juky 25-26. Full-event registrants may arrive and camp as early as Tuesday, August 4, for additional observinig time. The event ends at noon on Sunday, August 9.
The constllation-finding program, Sky Trekker, will start at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Astronomy-related presentations take place on Saturday afternoon. Stargazing occurs every night of the event, weather permitting.
