Life as a Space Weather Analyst

Join the NASA Night Sky Network on Tuesday, October 26 at 6:00 PM Pacific Time (9:00 PM Eastern) along with Carina Alden, where we will discuss what it’s like to be a space weather analyst for NASA.

Ever wondered what Space Weather is? Curious to know what it’s like to analyze Space Weather real-time? Carina Alden will take us through a day in the life of what it’s like being a Space Weather Analyst, monitoring Space Weather real-time, and what it could take to get a job in the field.

About Carina Alden:
Carina Alden is a space weather analyst with the Moon to Mars Space Weather Analysis Office at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. She stares (safely) at the Sun all day, monitoring solar activity and any impacts our Sun may have across the solar system in support of NASA deep space human and robotic missions. Carina says that being her authentic self and learning to follow what excites her has helped in her journey.
