Comments and anecdotes about the event:
Club VP, Brian Ottum did a presentation about night vison devices, both image intensifiers and infrared. His focus was on image intensifiers and what they can do for astronomical viewing. He showed us how they work by themselves and with nebula filters, as well as attached to a telescope eyepiece. He brought the one he owns and several of us tested it after the meeting by turning off the room lights. They are expensive but provide jaw-dropping results. We had 17 in-person attendees and 6 via Zoom.
