Event Report

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
Conditions were nice for our outreach session at the park. We had 6 members in attendance with 4 telescopes set up plus 1 binocular parallelogram. I had a simple refractor set up that was just donated to the club. It was easy to use and the view of the Moon through it was quite nice. There were a total 10 visitors who stopped. Those arriving early got to see the Sun before it set. We had a very nice sliver of a waxing crescent Moon that although setting, remained visible throughout our session. We showed Mars, Saturn, the Hercules cluster, double stars and also pointed out a number of constellations.
